Let Go and Haul: Can’t wait to but Q2 behind us
Week 24, 2019 – Brooklyn
Journey: where we’re at
Yikes last week was intense, yikes this week is going to be intense. So much going on right now tonight’s logbook entry is going to be the shortest email I’ve written you all. We’re getting to a moment with making these videos...
Huge shoutout to Gen this week for engineering the shit out of things.
On top of it all, I’m speaking at a conference on Wed so it’s double whammy deadline time whoooooeeee! (I’ll have a fun talk to share next week though!) I’m glad you’re out there and occasionally replying or texting me, it means so much! This weekend I spent almost all alone working except for a couple of weird hours on a rooftop on Saturday night. (That is one for the book not right now ha!)
Journal: what I learned
I’ve said this before but when I reflect on my weeks, our weeks, especially weeks like this I’m always reminded of how grateful I am for all the people that help and support, that get us out of jams, that find a way to get onboard with the necessary over-the-speed-limit pace a startup requires… thank you so much. Whenever I look at my most recently used emoji, number one is always praying hands from all the many texts of “please please please” and “thank you thank you thank you”
🙏🙏🙏
I’m excited for the day I get to pay it back. I will never forget how difficult it is being a founder and always help them in the future. I guess it’s a bit like people who always overtip because they worked in service for years and have so much sympathy for that industry. Right now I feel like I have very little to offer in terms of my time, presence, and availability – but I have a lot I need to ask for help with all the time. I keep reminding myself this is just for right now, and one day I will be able to give instead of just take again.
Jams: what I’m into
This Kelsey Lu video via Will. Just watch that on repeat and let your brain explode.
Unrelated to everything, has anyone seen a nicely designed poster of neural network diagrams anywhere?
